How to Spoil Mum this Mother's Day
We're sure you don't need to be told why every mum deserves to be lavished with care and attention this Mother's Day. It's a small way of saying thank you for the big things she's always done, and will continue to do, for her children.
So, without further ado, here's how to make Mother's Day truly special. Follow our suggestions below to spoil your own mother, or send them along to whoever's responsible for spoiling you!
- Let her sleep! Lie-ins take on 'holy grail' status once you become a mum because they're such a rarity! It's the best possible way you could start your mum's day.
- Bring her breakfast in bed. Something decadent will go down a treat. How about Lobster Muffins with Poached Egg, Caviar, Spinach and Hollandaise or Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and Chives?
- A small vase of fresh flowers on the breakfast tray is a nice touch, but she probably deserves a lavish bouquet too. Try By Appointment Only Design, Philippa Craddock Flowers or Scarlet and Violet for truly luxurious blooms.
- Run a bath and fill it with sweet-smelling bubbles. Place pampering products within easy reach and light a candle to aid relaxation. Our Abd El Kader Candle would be perfect. Currently available with 10% off, its scent is subtle with a fresh, earthy depth that evokes comfort and warmth.
- Whether you decide to dine in or eat out, ensure mum doesn't lift a finger throughout.
- Treat her to something a little different. We love the sound of Prêt-à-Portea at the Berkeley.
- Shower her with heartfelt gifts.
- Above all, remember to tell her you love her.
