We work hard at Gigi Brooks HQ, but when we do take five minutes out from our busy day there's nothing we enjoy more than perusing the internet and reading some of our favourite blogs. Today we want to 'share the love' and shout about four of our favourite places to hangout online. The talented women behind these sites create wonderful content that never fails to inspire and we would urge you to head over and take a look for yourselves...
The blog 'for mamas and papas in the know', MyBaba aims to help women with the countless decisions they face as mothers, cutting through the great mass of information available and simplifying things that should be simple. We love founder Leonora Bamford's take on motherhood. Through her daily posts she shares knowledge and experience gained from raising two children as well as help and advice from professionals and other mothers whose opinion she trusts. MyBaba is the perfect blog to help you navigate the steep learning-curve that is becoming a mother.
A blogzine for 'women who love their kids to bits, but whose interests stretch far beyond them', Selfish Mother is edited by freelance writer and mum, Molly Gun. With well written posts covering a range of topics, the site aims 'to inspire women to be amazing parents and fantastic role models by retaining a sense of self'. We wholeheartedly agree with the blog's suggestion that 'family happiness and sanity depends on a happy mothership'.
Lucy's popular blog documents daily life with her husband and two small children through stunning photography and thoughtfully written prose. We love the way she celebrates life's simple pleasures and strives to find beauty in everything. It helps that her children are adorable too! Dear Beautiful is a truly inspiring read.
This award winning blog is written by Alison Perry. By day she is the editor of a women's magazine, but she's also mum to her beautiful three year old daughter. Not Another Mummy Blog covers everything mums are interested in, effortlessly blending fashion, beauty and travel posts with a generous sprinkling of family life.
