A simply unique and elegant gift, for self or another, to celebrate the birth of a little girl. The Louise candle in Stone comes beautifully packaged and is a wonderful keepsake. We adore this candle at the Gigi Brooks' Headquarters and can just see it on display in a mum's special place, amidst picture frames or in a little one's bedroom.

Louise and Alexandre were the children of architect Alexandre - Théodore Brongniart (1739-1813), famous for designing the Stock Exchange building in Paris and transforming the Père Lachaise Cemetery. The portraits of the Brongniart's children made in 1777 by Jean-Antoine Houdon express with strength and tenderness this passion for a subject that never became old-fashioned.

As a matter of interest, the two busts remained in the Brongniart's family until they were purchased by the Louvre - Louise in 1898, and Alexandre in 1900.
